I am going from up north and living down south now.
I can notice such a huge change in climate that I am not sure how to adapt.
One thing that is undeniable is the amount of money I am paying in HVAC bills! In my old house I used to have a fireplace so when it got cold I didn’t have to use my furnace. In the summer I never used my AC because it was always so cool outside and I didn’t want to use the AC with the windows open. I almost never had to pay for HVAC at my old house. In the house I am in now my AC unit is so loud and is costing me a fortune. I am starting to reconsider living down south because I don’t like having to run the AC unit all the time. I really wish that I could live down south and up north at the same time, and not have to have any kind of HVAC system! I love the invention of the AC unit, but I don’t like how loud it is and how expensive it is. I wouldn’t mind getting a window AC unit but I have heard that don’t really work very well and actually use the same amount of HVAC and electric. Before you decide to move make sure you check out the climate and factor in HVAC costs, you might be very surprised. I called an HVAC technician after I got my bill because I thought surely something was wrong with my AC unit, but it turns out I was wrong.
