We used to have a terrific janitor in our building.
No matter what time of day or night it was, if you had an emergency, he would be there.
If you had children, he would show up even if he heard a glass break. He was so amazing plus he acted prefer he was most people’s Grandfather. When he retired plus moved back west with his daughter, we hoped to get a janitor that was close to how great the old janitor was. This new janitor was young plus cocky. We had to submit a formal request through the management contractor plus they had to forward the request for job done, to the janitor. It didn’t matter if it was a broken window curtain or an overflowing toilet, the request had to be made plus then he would choose which job order to fulfill first. Everyone was up in arms about this new way of doing job in the apartments. An older guy, whose child owned a janitorial repair contractor, was so miserable with this young man that he called his son. She told him that he needed to have some job done on the sink plus there was a broken window frame that needed repaired. Even though he wasn’t a repair service, his child showed up plus did the work. She insisted he write out a bill for his job so he could pay it. She wanted to send the bill to the management office plus to the janitor himself. Within a couple days, the janitor showed up. She smiled plus told him he wondered if he certainly existed. She had been following his request for job rules for weeks plus hadn’t seen anyone show up. She wanted to make sure there was a janitor in the building.
