HVAC Doesn’t Suffer From Too Much Pet Hair

My wife has recently has fulfilled a life long ambition.

She is officially a cat and dog rescue foster facilitator.

So, a chunk of our home has been radically transformed to accommodate these sweet animals who are waiting to find new homes. My wife has always had this idea and I am so thrilled to see it come to fruition. However, it does not come without some serious commitment on our part. There was a very detailed planning period to add a basic addition on to our home. It is basically another wing to our home filled with rooms for cats and dogs of different types and temperments. When we built this addition, we decided to keep our home HVAC system separate from the pet sanctuary. So, we brought in the HVAC company to give us an HVAC heating and cooling solution for the new addition. It was a pretty straight forward deal actually. The HVAC contractor came out and had a look around. He asked some pertinent questions and did a bunch of measuring before he offered his suggestion. The HVAC guy suggested we use a mini split heating and cooling system to provide HVAC comfort to our furry guests. The mini split is excellent because is needs no ductwork to get the job done. There is simply an air handler hung high on an exterior wall. It is connected to a small condenser through a small hole in the wall. The mini split does such a great job. We do have to be sure to clean the air filter at least once a week due to all the pet hair and dander.
