I live in an section where our weather changes rather suddenly in such a small amount of time. The seasons seem to change and end quite suddenly. This threw myself and others for the first several years I lived in this area. I grew up in a locale where the winters are mild and the summers are hot. There entirely isn’t much noticeable change. It just all sort of flows together. Now, the season shift and do so quick. Spring is looked forward to a great deal by almost everyone in our home. The winters are long and cold. We all get sick of having the furnace running all the time. So, when that first bit of sizzling weather comes, the people I was with and I all jump right on it. The grill comes out. The pool gets uncovered and all the lawn stuff gets tuned up. Part of the Springtime ritual is also having the HVAC tech come out to service the a/c before the Summer hits. This year, I got busy and simply forgot to make the Spring HVAC service appointment. Instead, I went ahead and cranked the a/c on the first day the heat climbed into the 68’s. The air came right on and cooled down the house. I figured I’d get lucky this year by choosing not to get the normal HVAC service. Well, this lasted all of a week before the program sounded like it was struggling. I felt the vent and noticed there was no cool air coming out of it. I called the heating and cooling professionals. Turns out there was a leak in the refrigerant tube. And it would have been caught had I tied up the normal Spring HVAC appointment.
