I decided to scrub the furnace once a year

I will need to repaint the wall the right color so it matches everything else; On top of that would be the HVAC duct service cost

I am pretty sure a portion of my HVAC duct fell down last evening. In the middle of the evening I woke to a loud boom. I wandered around the house trying to locate the intense mangle I heard. I could see nothing wrong in the house. I then tried to run my HVAC the next day plus I observed that my home office does not get any air from the air vent. I know the HVAC duct portion that stretches to the home office was what fell. I can’t tell because the HVAC duct is hidden behind my wall. So what do I do now? I am assuming a HVAC dealer needs to come into my apartment to repair. I am guessing the outdated HVAC duct will be removed plus replaced with current HVAC ducts. The HVAC ducts will have to affix to the other pieces plus the air vent in the home office. That seems all good plus fine, however how does the HVAC professional do this? My air duct is hidden behind the wall. I am concerned the repair will require the HVAC dealer to tear down my home office wall. I can’t even imagine that mess that will cause! Dust will fly everywhere plus ruin my home office furniture. I also will have to service that wall. I will need to buy plus put up current drywall. I will need to repaint the wall the right color so it matches everything else; On top of that would be the HVAC duct service cost. So I will admit that I have been putting off that HVAC call. I am wondering how necessary it is.
